【英文摘要】The program focuses on analysis and integration in the implementation of the project of Western China Environmental Change access to the natural records, including the last 2000-year data from stalagmites, tree rings, ice cores, lake sediment and documentary records, covering many types and wide range of records for which very different methods are used. Summary the progress since the implementation of the project are: (1) revealing "circulation effect" – the climate significance of 10-100a scale changes in the stalagmite oxygen isotopes from Chinese monsoon region; (2) to achieve the annual resolution of different materials from different regions integration and cross-examination with the simulation results; (3) revealing the differences of climate evolution in the different areas of the western region, especially the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the surrounding areas; (4) to prove further the fact from the 100-year scale that the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is the Asian monsoon heat-driven force; (5) analyzing the source of water vapor at different times through the reconstruction of circulation changes as well as the evolution of sequence of regional wet and dry sequences. This program has more than ten papers published in core journals at home and abroad, contributed integrated temperature time series data, simulated temperature time-series, as well as the evolution of an integrated circulation time-series to the project. During program implementation, the team members and international counterparts, a wide range of academic exchanges and training of young talents. Finally, the program makes further recommendations to resolve the new problems identified in the implementation.
