Soil is the material basis for supporting the life of human. Organism is a major component of soil vitality which drive earth’s biogeochemical cycles and can maintain the interactions of overground and undergroundlife in terrestrial ecosystems. In recent years, The rapid development of metagenomic and situ microscopic characterization technologies bring us with unprecedented opportunities to gain insights into soil microbial communities. Developing the new technology of soil biological research, studying the soil microbial composition and structure in the typical ecosystems, resolving the microbial regulation mechanism of biogeochemical cycles of soil key elements, revealing the interaction mechanisim of soil overground and underground ecosyestms, forming the networking research technology system of soil biosystem function and regulation, these will be able to achieve great breakthroughs of studying the function and regulation of soil biosystem and totally update the regulatory ability of sustainable usage and the cognitive level of soil biological resources in China.
土壤是人类赖以生存的物质基础。生物是土壤具有生命力的主要组成,是土壤关键元素生物地球化学循环的驱动者,是维系陆地生态系统地上-地下相互作用的纽带。近年来,宏基因组学和原位微观表征技术等的发展与应用根本改变了传统研究的理念,巨大的土壤生物资源挖掘与利用,大大促进了土壤学科的整体发展。发展土壤生物研究的新技术新方法,研究我国主要生态系统土壤微生物的组成与格局;解析土壤关键元素生物地球化学循环的微生物调控机理,揭示土壤地上-地下生态系统协同作用机制,形成土壤生物系统功能及其调控的联网研究技术体系;将能实现土壤生物系统功能及其调控研究的重点突破,整体提升对我国土壤生物资源的认知水平及可持续利用的调控能力。
