2014 EU-US Frontiers of Engineering Symposium

The 2014 EU-US Frontiers of Engineering symposium was hosted by Boeing on November 10-12 at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle, Washington. About 60 outstanding engineers under the age of 45 met for an intensive 2-1/2 day symposium to discuss cutting-edge developments in four areas: Smart Homes,  Energy Storage Across Scales, Atoms to Airplanes: Designer/Engineered Aerospace Materials, and Protein Design for Therapeutic and Biotech Applications. The event facilitates international and cross-disciplinary research collaboration, promotes the transfer of new techniques and approaches across disparate engineering fields, and encourages the creation of a transatlantic network of world-class engineers.

This symposium is hosted in partnership with the European Council of Academies of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering with organizational support provided by the National Academy of Technologies of France.
