A multifunctional epoxy resin (EP) coating reinforced with nitrogen-doped carbon dots (N-CDs) anchored on Ti 3C 2T x MXene nanosheets (CDs@Ti 3C 2T x) was developed to address the rapid oxidation and limited functionality of conventional MXene. The hybrid filler, synthesized via a one-step hydrothermal process, imparted oxidation resistance, anticorrosion, lubricity, and enhanced barrier properties. As a result, the as-prepared CDs@Ti 3C 2T x/EP coating could exhibit an outstanding long-term corrosion resistance, maintaining a low-frequency impedance of 1.38×10 11 Ω·cm 2 after 70 days in 3.5 wt.% NaCl, along with excellent tribological performance, achieving a friction coefficient of 0.234 and ultralow wear rate (4.87×10 -4 mm 3/Nm). This strategy offers a promising route for durable protection of marine infrastructure.
